Andesite stone paving on a villa driveway with clipped planting

Volcanic Stone

Andesite Stone

The Indonesian grey workhorse for paving and facades

Andesite is the grey volcanic stone that carries most exterior hard landscaping in Indonesia — driveways, terraces, pool decks, stair treads and public paving. Its even mid-grey tone and consistent structure make it the practical choice where large areas need to look uniform.

It is produced in a wide range of formats, from small paving units to large-format slabs, and in finishes from smooth honed through to bush-hammered and flamed textures for exterior traffic areas.

Zeolite Factory supplies Andesite in project quantities with sizes cut to the paving layout, which reduces cutting waste and installation time on site.

FAQ

Andesite Stone — questions buyers ask

Which finish should I choose for a driveway?

Bush-hammered or flamed surfaces are normally specified for vehicular and wet areas because they retain texture under traffic. Honed and sawn surfaces are generally used for covered or lower-traffic areas. Your contractor should confirm the slip requirement applicable in your market.

What thickness is used for vehicle traffic?

Driveway and vehicular paving is normally produced in heavier sections than pedestrian paving. Send us the traffic loading and the bedding system and we will quote the thickness accordingly.

Can you cut to our paving layout?

Yes. Send the paving drawing or the cutting list and we will produce to those dimensions, which reduces on-site cutting and waste.
